Stepping Out

I think a big part of Christianity is stepping out of your comfort zones. I don't know how you can't do this. Number one, in order to communicate what you believe you have to be willing to be ridiculed for your beliefs. That sure as heck shakes my comfort. Number two, you need to step out within your brothers and sisters in Christ. One thing I find really hard to do at my church is talking to adults that I don't usually talk to. I think it's usually kind of awkward and I sometimes wonder if they care what an 18 year old kid has to say. I do realize though that I need to communicate with the adults in my church and be bold if I want to be an 18 year old kid who makes a change in the way our church honors our creator. I think in order to be a follower of Christ, you need to step out of your comfort zones. You need to be doing things that others will look at strangely and you need to communicate with Christians who have been in their faith for a longer period of time than you have. You just have to take the initiative to step out of your comfort zones and do these things. God calls us to be his followers, not to live a comfortable lives.
